Creeping perennial herbs. Leaves petiolate, lobed, palmately-veined, alternate above, opposite below. Flowers solitary in the leaf axils. Calyx 5-lobed.Corolla tube spurred at base. Stamens 4. Capsule opening by 2 lateral pores, each pore with 3 valves. Worldwide: 9 species in W Europe, the Mediterranean region to Iran Britain: 6 taxa. |
